Valle de la Luna or Moon Valley

Valle de la Luna or Moon Valley is situated about 10 km south of La Paz center. The area is clay-based and over time erosion has created deep ravines and impressive pillars making it look very much like it's name indicates.

Entrance to Valle de la Luna. Foreigners pay 15bs (2.5 USD), nationals 3bs and minors 1 bs. Under 9-year-old are considered minors according to the cashier. I think a few bolivianos went into his own pocket due to this interpretation.
There are 2 walking paths in the area: one is estimated to rewuire 15 and the other 45 minuters. We walked  the longer route with an easy pace in about half an hour.

Taustalla Muela del Diablo.
